Why I Didn’t Attend Metro FM Awards – Nadia Nakai: Nadia Nakai didn’t attend Metro FM Awards to support AKA; she explains the reasons behind her absence.

The Metro FM Awards witnessed a momentous night for numerous South African artists who emerged victorious. However, it was not only the artists but also AKA’s Megacy who celebrated as they stood among the top winners.

AKA emerged as the biggest winner at the 17th Metro FM Awards, securing four (4) Awards. Among AKA’s loved ones and the Megacy, congratulations were in order. Nadia Nakai, absent from the event after her late boyfriend’s victory, explained her nonattendance. A follower’s tweet suggested she should have been present when the Forbes family received AKA’s awards.

Nadia Nakai declined the invitation from AKA’s family, saying that she wanted the moment to be solely for Forbes and the Megacy. In a tweet, she expressed her support in spirit, saying, “I thought this moment should be just between them and the Megacy. I’m there in spirit tho. will be watching”.

Nadia Nakai was cheering AKA via her Twitter, even as she didn’t attend the awards ceremony, Bragga also praised the fans for pushing the votes in order for AKA to win his posthumous Metro FM Awards. ‘For real!!! Y’all really pushed for him!’ Tweeted Bragga.

Lynn and Tony Forbes, along with AKA’s daughter Kairo Forbes, accepted his awards at the event. AKA, also known as the Supa Mega, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident outside a restaurant in Durban, along with his friend Tibz. The police have initiated an investigation into AKA’s murder case, but as of now, no significant arrests have been reported in connection with the incident.
