Achraf Hakimi Biography, Net-Worth, Career Journey and Honours: Achraf Hakimi Mouh is a Professional Football Player from Morocco. He was born on November 4, 1998, and plays right back or winger for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and the Morocco national team. Many people think he is one of the best defenders in the world.

Hakimi first played for Real Madrid Castilla in 2016, and in 2017 he was moved up to the first team. He was loaned to Borussia Dortmund for two years and helped them win the DFL-Supercup in 2019.

After that, he joined Inter Milan for what was said to be €40 million and helped the team win its first Serie A title in 11 years in 2020–21. After that, Paris Saint-Germain bought him in 2021 for what was said to be €60 million.

He was born in Spain to parents who were from Morocco. Hakimi played for Morocco as an under-20 player and made his senior international appearance in 2016 when he was 17. He was picked to play for Morocco in the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups and the 2019 and 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Early Life

He was born in Madrid, Spain. His parents were from Morocco. His mother is from Guelmim and his father is from Ksar el-kébir. Hakimi joined Real Madrid’s youth team from Colonia Ofigevi when he was eight years old, in 2006.

Club Career

Hakimi’s first game for Real Madrid was in the first game of the 2016 International Champions Cup, which they lost 3–2

After that, he went back to the B team and played his first game as an adult on August 20, 2016, when he started in a 3–2 home win over Real Sociedad B in Segunda División B.

September 25, 2016, Hakimi got his first goal as a senior. It was the equalizer in a 1–1 draw at Fuenlabrada.

August 19, 2017, Hakimi was moved up to the main team to back up Dani Carvajal and Nacho. He was given the number 19 shirt.On October 1, he played his first game with the first team and in La Liga.

It was a 2-0 win at home over Espanyol. He got his first goal in La Liga on December 9, 2017, in a 5–0 win over Sevilla. He scored his second goal in a 6–0 win over Celta Vigo on May 12, 2018. In the 2017–18 UEFA Champions League, he played in two games before he turned 18.

He helped Madrid win the title, which was their 13th overall and third in a row. He was the first Moroccan player to win the Champions League, since Munir El Haddadi had won it with Spain in the previous season.

Loan to Borussia Dortmund

At the end of July 2018, Hakimi agreed to play for Borussia Dortmund on loan for two years. He got his first goal for the team on September 27, when they beat 1. FC Nürnberg 7–0.

In his first Champions League game for Dortmund, against Atlético Madrid, he set up three goals, which was the first time in his career that he did that.

It was Hakimi’s first goals in the Champions League when he scored twice against Slavia Prague on October 2, 2019, in the group stage. The next game, on November 5, 2019, was against Inter Milan. Hakimi scored two goals in the second half to help his team come back from a 2-0 deficit and win 3–2.

The previous record for Hakimi’s speed in the Bundesliga was set three months before, against RB Leipzig at 36.2 km/h (22.5 mph).

In a match against Union Berlin in February 2020, he was caught at 36.48 km/h (22.67 mph), breaking that record.

He scored in the team’s 6–1 win over SC Paderborn on May 31. He took off his shirt to show a shirt that said “Justice for George Floyd” after making his goal. His friend Jadon Sancho also wore a shirt like this after scoring.

Inter Milan

Hakimi signed a five-year deal with Serie A team Inter Milan on July 2, 2020, for what was said to be around €40 million. As a rookie, he played his first game on September 26 and helped his team beat Fiorentina 4–3. That next league game, against Benevento, he scored his first goal for the team. Inter won 5–2.

Paris Saint-Germain

The five-year deal for Hakimi to play for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) began on July 6, 2021. The Guardian reported that PSG paid a starting fee of €60 million, with possible add-ons worth an extra €11 million. Hakimi’s first game in Ligue 1 was on August 7, against Troyes.

He played all 90 minutes and scored his first goal for the team. In a 0-0 draw with Marseille on August 24, he got his first red card.

He scored twice in a 2–1 win over Metz on September 22. He won Ligue 1 in his first season at PSG. It was his second straight league win.

He was chosen for the 2022 FIFA FIFPRO World 11 on February 14, 2023. Hakimi scored a goal in a 2-0 win over his old team Dortmund in the 2023–24 UEFA Champions League on September 19, 2023. This earned him a spot on the UEFA Team of the Week.

That same day, November 1, 2023, Hakimi was put forward by CAF as the 2023 African Footballer of the Year.

International Career

Hakimi played for Morocco’s under-17 and under-20 teams before making his debut for the under-23s on June 5, 2016, in a friendly win over Cameroon U23s.

He played his first full game for his country against Canada 4–0 on October 11, 2016, when he came on as a substitute for Fouad Chafik. He got his first goal for his country against Mali on September 1, 2017, making it 4-0 at home.

He was given a spot on Morocco’s preliminary team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in May, and on June 4, he was added to the final 23-person squad for the summer race.

He was also picked to play in the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon in 2021.In the group stages, he started all of his games. In a 2–2 tie with Gabon, he scored a free kick. He played against Malawi in the round of 16, and in the 70th minute, he scored a free kick that gave his team the win.

He was added to Morocco’s 26-person team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar on November 10, 2022. In the round of 16, he missed a penalty but got the winning penalty with a panenka-style shot. This put his country in the quarterfinals.

Personal Life

Hakimi is a Muslim who has made the Umrah journey to Mecca more than once. He can speak Arabic, Spanish, and French very well. He can also get by in English, German, and Italian.

The Spanish actress Hiba Abouk was Hakimi’s wife until 2023. She comes from Libya, Tunisia, and has some Romani roots. Their two boys were born in 2020 and 2022. Abouk posted on her Instagram account on March 27, 2023, that she and her husband had already broken up and were waiting for the divorce process to begin.

Reports say that Abouk asked for more than half of Hakimi’s wealth and assets, even though the assets are said to be kept in the name of his mother. There are different opinions on how true that claim is.

As of March 3, 2023, an investigating judge in Paris charged Hakimi with raping a 24-year-old woman and put him under government control. He wasn’t allowed to talk to his accused victim, but he was free to leave France. Fanny Colin, Hakimi’s lawyer, said that his client strongly denies these claims.

In October 2023, Hakimi was given a one-match ban along with PSG players Randal Kolo Muani, Ousmane Dembele, and Layvin Kurzawa for their part in anti-gay chants after the team’s game against Olympique Marseille the previous October.

The Final Draw for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Cote d’Ivoire 2023 took place on October 12, 2023. Didier Drogba, Mikel Obi, and Sadio Mané were chosen to help with the draw, along with Hakimi.
